ABOUT

Our Mission

Through the generosity of others, we refurbish unwanted computers and equipment, then distribute them to people who are otherwise unable to afford a computer. While doing this, we are also able to reduce the amount of harmful  toxins that waste electronics release into the environment.

Why?

First and foremost, to show the love of Christ to others. Secondly, to help prevent people from being left behind. We live in a time where computers seem to be commonplace. Millions of Americans are taking online classes, and 21% of the world’s economic growth comes from the internet, yet 46% of America’s poorest families do not have a home computer and 100 million homes in this country do not have access to high speed internet. Many classrooms are enriching their teaching power with technology, but children without access to a computer or internet at home are being left behind. Many people have lost work due to the recent recession and are working to update their education to become more employable, but even the most basic jobs require some level of computer knowledge. Those without access are lacking what is increasingly becoming a basic work skill. The experts call this the “digital divide.” We may not be able to do much about internet access, but we can provide a working computer that can aid in education.

How It Works

Kind people donate their old computers, broken or working; we fix them or use their working parts to fix another computer. We have a list of people who are in need, and we fill those needs as quickly as we can get a computer for them. People contact us with their needs or family and friends tell us about a loved one seeking a computer. Whenever we have computers in stock, we fill requests in the order we have received them.

How You Can Help

We are looking for laptops, desktops, monitors, keyboards, mice, printers, cables, or even spare parts. We have an important list of specifics for donating here.

Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.
